The Taste: Four Days of Food, Wine, Beer and Spirits

While many will go out of town over the long Labor Day weekend, foodies and gourmands will probably be living it up at The Taste, a four-day series of food, wine, beer and spirits events set in Beverly Hills, Hollywood and Downtown.

Sponsored by the Los Angeles Times and Food & Wine, it will be held between September 2nd and the 5th.

The Taste will pull together food stars like Roy Choi ('the godfather of the food truck movement'), Food Network star Duff Goldman and exhibitors like Fig & Olive, Bao Dim Sum House, M. Cafe and Craft for tastings and live entertainment.

Some events highlights:

• 'Burgers and Beer' in Beverly Hills (September 2nd, 7-10 p.m.)

• 'Taco Tequila Tryst' in Hollywood (September 3rd, 7-10 p.m.)

• 'Food Noir' in Downtown (September 4th, 8 p.m.-12 a.m.)
