Home Sells for Top Dollar and then Some?Homelicious Staging and ...

It all started with a phone call from an agent I worked for once before and i really didn?t think she wanted me to work for her nor did i wanted to work or did i think she liked me, she seemed cold and wanted to be in control. I got the call from the agent. She wasn?t exactly honest about the Home Staging needs. Her intentions not well noted from a new home stager like myself but I?am becoming seasoned with each passing client i come across.
Homeliciousstagingandmore was happy to get a home staging job and i did do a go-see and then made up two proposals and only to find out the Real Estate Agents wasn?t clear on her Clients intention of not wanting to spend a dime on the showcasing and furniture rentals. The agent herself offers a $500.00 homes staging kickback. So that was my budget $500.00 bucks. I gave her $500.00 dollars worth which isn?t much especially when it includes furniture rentals.

I did my job and i was happy with the Home Staging job i did within the budget. Now keep in mind the agent took the pictures and used the staging job i did as is for the MLS listing photos. The next day i got a call from the Realtor going on and on, on how unhappy and what a shitty job she taught i did( but for $500.00 bucks you do not get much) you get what you pay for. Although i thought i did a good with what little i was provide for furniture and the props for the budget. The agent and i talked back and forth and back and forth until finally i said? ok quit your bitching and what is it that you want from me ? get to the point? and she didnt feel the job i did was worth her $500.00 dollars (she did not want to pay me) but like i say you get what you pay for. We made arrangement to view another home she had stage with her usual stager.
As i enter the home i could tell it was not a Certified Home stager that staged this home because the home was clutter with pictures on every wall and the CSP concept was not being used. The Realtor proceeded to tell me that this job was a $2000.00 dollar job which was unfair to me to view, she only offered me budget of $500.00. I had to make a decision at this point, Do i tell her where to go? or does Homeliciousstagingandmore take advantage of this opportunity to stage this home even if i do not make any money so i could add the job under my belt and my portfolio. I decide to give her a $1500.00 job for the sake of the experience and it paid off for me. The home sold on offer night and for more then they were asking and the realtor told me they priced high and got that and then some. The experience i got with this job sure gave me alot of knowledge and know how to dealing with Agent and Clients in the Homestaging industry and Real Estate Market of Winnipeg.
The moral of the Home staging Story is always give the client the time & energy and you will always get back Ten Folds and then some, Keep with what you have learned here at CSP.
I have added a few pictures for your viewing of the original work then the upgraded work.
