After the success of Free to Play across the MMO world it looks like more and more are willing to try their luck witht he same strategy. Which is fine by me! Blizards Warcraft is free to level 20, Mythics Warhammer is the same and now you can add Rift to the list too.
I remember when the hoards were left Warhammer for Rift as Mythic failed to do anything right to improve what was an excellent IP. I gave up on the game soon after too but unlike many, I didnt go to Rift. I decided my dabble into the world of MMO?s needed a rest. I admit I was always curious about the game but couldnt justify buying the game and then paying a subscribtion for it too.
Well it looks like i wont need to worry about that anymore as Rift is free to play (try?) to level 20! At launch the game?was praised as one the most well-crafted MMO?s released since?World of Warcraft, with positive reviews the world over.
So what is and where is ?RIFT Lite?
- The F2P version is available to both new and returning players with no time limit or credit card required.
- The?Lite?version features ?certain restrictions to travel and gameplay?, but apart from that, you?re good to experience much of what?RIFT?has to offer.
- To try?RIFT Lite?simply create a Trion Worlds account, download?RIFT?and start playing today.
The debut of?Lite?also coincides with the release of update 1.7. ??Carnival of the Ascended?, features the River of Souls Chronicle, Ascended Weddings, PvP improvements, a newly expanded Expert Mode, a hardcore upgrade to Caduceus Rise, and upgraded endgame gear.
Also with the games one year anniversary just around the corner you can expect a ?massive celebration as Trion Worlds gears up for the ?most dynamic party in Telara? with an all new World Event.
