9 to 5 [Video]

9 to 5 Not quite ready to face the work week? 9 to 5, Dolly Parton's famous work anthem from the film of the same name, has stoked the fires of a downtrodden workforce for years, and for good reason: It's awesome.

I'm an unabashed fan of Dolly, whether she's singing something as wistfully beautiful as I Will Always Love You, as badass as Jolene, or as silly and absurd as Me and Little Andy, but for a little Monday motivation, it's tough to beat 9 to 5. At just under three minutes, it's the perfect song to grease the keys of your digital typewriter.

Work Sounds is a twice-a-week post that highlights good music to enhance your 'getting stuff done'. On Mondays, we focus on a piece of music to help motivate you for the week ahead; on Wednesdays we feature distraction-free, headphones-on, head-down work tunes.
